Why Filtration?
Consuming water is an important part of our daily lives, considering it makes up about 70 percent of our body weight. While it is reported that a healthy person can live without food for weeks, a person can only survive a few days without water.

The United States offers its citizens one of the safest water supplies in the world. Even so, many consumers are using home purification systems to help ensure the best tasting and safest water for drinking and cooking. In addition, others are consuming bottled water for reasons of both convenience and safety.

As for safety, many people throughout the country have no qualms about drinking tap water due to regular testing and monitoring by government agencies to ensure it is safe. Drinking water can reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. As long as those contaminants are at levels no higher than EPA standards, the water is considered safe to drink for healthy people. There are also cases where water may go unchecked. Many homes are on private wells, not municipal water, and therefore have no EPA regulation.

But numerous consumers still seek cleaner, better tasting water, as evidenced by the billions spent on bottled water each year. And because of recent reports that some bottled water supplies come from municipal water - not pristine water sources as promoted - coupled with questions about the safety of the plastic used in many water bottles and their environmental impact, consumers are left wondering what other options exist.

InSinkErator's two filter models allow consumers to obtain instant hot (200 degree) filtered water and filtered drinking water directly from the tap.

With an InSinkErator hot/cool water dispenser, the need for bottled water becomes obsolete, as it delivers filtered drinking water directly from the tap. Other instant hot water dispenser environmental benefits include:

  • Water savings compared to other methods - Uses only what's needed, zero water waste
  • Improved water quality with filtration - Reduces a variety of contaminants
  • Energy efficient - Heats water at the source, no energy waste
Easy to Install
The InSinkErator F-201 Filtration System features quickconnect plumbing fittings which make installation a snap and the sanitary quick-change filter cartridge is replaced in only seconds.

A 6-12 month time span is recommended for filter cartridge replacement (it is recommended that all carbon filters be replaced within 12 months), and the filter system automatically shuts off water when the filter cartridge is being replaced.

This system is ideal for use virtually anywhere filtered water is needed, such as with ice makers and refrigerators.

We Come To You Parts and Labor Warranty
The F-201 is backed by an exclusive five-year We Come to You In-Home Service Warranty. If you ever have a problem with your instant hot water dispenser system, an authorized InSinkErator service representative will come to your home and fix it, at no charge to you.

Note: Using other manufacturers' components with InSinkErator faucets or tanks voids all InSinkErator warranties.

Water Filter - Can a water filter really de-bug my drinking water?

If our communities to use grain of sand and water filter to treat water chlorination effectively, before coming to us, then why are we "boil water" notice every so many years? Why do so many people still believe that it is not safe enough to drink? And 'confusion.

Of course, the wastewater treatment plants in large urban centers, large and imposing, at the gates. Everything is great, it must be strong enough to ensureDrinking water should not, especially chlorine, when the disinfectant to kill bacteria and viruses of the election? And it poured tons of water before going through a system of aqueducts, pipes and tanks for your home or workplace. Typically, the amount of chlorine in our drinking water is strong enough to clean all the pipes along the path. Chlorine is powerful stuff. It is a powerful disinfectant for heaven's sake.

Water Filter

This thorough process seriouslyleads us to believe that our drinking water is clean and quite safe. So take care of it, right? No error of plus in my drinking water.

Maybe. But what about the smaller towns and rural areas that are less financially equipped? If the amount of chlorine used enough to keep contamination at bay? And as far as chemical disinfectants themselves. In addition to products formed from these chemicals have an impact on our health in the future? Already using aEffect? In heavily populated areas, the amount of chlorine added to water to minimize the risk of further contamination in the lines is strong enough to sniff the tap.

Have you ever thought about the state of the aqueducts, pipes, tanks and storage tanks in the distribution chain? As all lines and tanks out of sight, we tend to forget them. As our time cities, so the water infrastructure. You may be surprised to know that many cities now have water systems through100 years and with incredible materials that we know are harmful to our health. For example, many structures still with asbestos-cement (AC), pipes and storage tanks made of wood. Other tubes, pipes and tanks are too expensive to repair or replace, unless they break. But in both cases would probably be fair to say, these systems have reached the end of his life.

So, how safe and clean is your water supply for the moment comes to your home? There are no errors or chemicalslurks in the water? Unfortunately, for being there.

The biggest challenge with existing water treatment processes is that the methods of treatment now can not - not - to remove some pollutants such as hazardous chemical dissolved or small, common parasites such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium, can infect the water supply . An encryption system, for example, has a diameter of only five microns. The spaces between local grain of sand water filters are much larger at around 75Micron. That leaves plenty of room for all types of particles to pass. The water is disinfected with chlorine is not much help; Cryptosporidium is resistant to all practical levels of chlorination.

So, what can you do? One way to kill these parasites is to continue to boil drinking water if there is a boil water advisory in your area or not. Another method is more convenient and safer to use a water filter, at least for drinking water. Most but not all,Water filters for home use is determined to remove chemicals and parasites Cryptosporidium and others. Be careful here. Option refrigerator water filter, for example, is inadequate. Look for a water filter that NSF mark and the "cyst removal" or an absolute pore size of 1 micron or less.
