Braun Coffee Maker Water Filter is Worth the Money!

Braun Coffee Maker Water Filter is Worth the Money!

Water Filter

Braun coffee maker water filter is not able to brew you any coffee, but the amount of money that you are paying for a pack of filters is enough to buy you a new coffee maker! And that is the reason why I am trying to establish the fact that this filter is worth the investment.

Firstly, we know that a pack of filter can cost up to , which is not cheap for accessories and a price that can get you a very basic 6 cup drip filter machine. If I would to share with you that this same pack of filters was just retailing at some time ago, you might even think that these companies are out to rip you off!

I do not know if it applies to this situation. A friend of mine that works in a pharmaceutical industry as a researcher told me that the high pricing for some specialized drug despite the fact that producing the drug is so cheap is due to the cost of R&D which amount up to billions of dollars.

And if you think about it, it might be the same case for this water filter. Developed jointly by Braun and Brita, the objective of this device is to give a better coffee by filtering out the undesirable components in the water.

For those of us that have been brewing coffee for a number of years, we all know that water makes a difference in the finished brew. If there is a choice, we should always use soft water instead of the normal tap water or what is known as hard water.

The water that comes out from our tap is hard water. Because it is meant for consumption, numerous minerals are added to ensure that this water is safe for consumption. But, this same tap water would change the taste of coffee and in the long run, clog your coffee filter and ruin your carafe.

As people seek for better tasting coffee, water becomes an important element and so water filter is something essential. And Brita is a name that is well known for its filtering devices.

So, despite the high pricing for this Braun device, I think it is well worth the investment. Other than giving you good quality water that would brew you better coffee, it occurs to me that over the long run, it would actually save you money.

As mentioned earlier, using hard water in coffee making would results in minerals depositing in your coffee maker. This would lead to faster wear and tear that would shorten the life span of your machine.

So, by filtering your water, you would mitigate this situation and prolong the life span of your brewer.

And, I am not the only one that thinks this Braun accessory is a good investment. If you would to read any reviews and evaluation from Amazon or other shopping sites, out of 10 reviews, usually more than 80% are happy with their purchase.

There you have it, my view on this water filter from Braun and I think it is worth the investment.
